Shield (W/Str): training in the care and employment of a shield. Passive: adds 1 for each level of shield training to defense up to the shield maximum, a shield can be use offensively each level of shield training adds 1 to the combat roll when that weapon type is used.
Short Sword (R/Dex):Training in the care and use of close combat sword. Passive: care for the weapon and each level of spear training adds 1 to the combat roll when that weapon type is used.
Spear (W/Str): Training in the care and use of close combat spear. Passive: care for the weapon and each level of spear training adds 1 to the combat roll when that weapon type is used.
Staff (W/Dex): Training in the care and use of close combat staves. Passive: care for the weapon and each level of Staff training adds 1 to the combat roll when that weapon type is used.
Stealth: (R/Dex): Training in cautious and imperceptible action or movement. Required for lvl 3 Thief.
Survival (R/Int): Training in hunting, gathering and basic shelter in hostile terrain.

Thaumaturgy (M/Int): Training in the understanding and use of the magical arts. Tracking (R/Int): Training in the process of following someone or something.
Traps (R/Int): Training in the creation or dismantlement of a device designed to catch or cause harm to someone or something. Required for lvl 4 Thief.
